CafeSmart is all about your local community! Donations collected during the event through cafes, coffee roasters and corporate partners, are pooled together to provide a whole community response to fund vital services for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

It is a powerful collaboration that results in meaningful impact on the ground, local to the cafes that are involved.

“This CafeSmart grant will be spent securing backpack beds for those we are unable to accommodate, and helping us continue to support them with Emergency Relief, and case management. Many families are currently staying in emergency accommodation, and will need to vacate over Christmas with no other housing options at this time. Having a backpack bed will allow clients to land somewhere while we spend time working on other areas and barriers to stable housing.” – said one of CafeSmart 2023’s Grant Recipients.
