Last month we launched our new crowdfunding platform ‘Projects’. The exciting news is that together we have raised $4,700 and fully funded (118%) our first project to fund the purchase of new cots for ‘at risk’ families.

Sarah and The Dandelion Support Network Volunteer Team said…

“We are so excited to have smashed our target and raised $4,700 to provide a safe sleeping place for babies in need. We are now able to purchase 23 new cots with these funds – an amazing tally. The committee and I are so uplifted by the response and generosity, being able to assist the families on our wait list, especially with Christmas coming up so quickly. Along with the funds we have raised we have also collected 5 pre-loved cots and have a further 8 cots pledged. Thank you for your incredibly generous support… we can’t wait to place the order for the cots and get them out to the families and get rid of our wait list!”

StreetSmart CEO Adam Robinson said…”It’s a big deal for us to go live with the ‘Projects’ site.  We are stoked to have funded our first project for the team at Dandelion and all the families they will assist.  The cots will be a great help to 23 families as having a safe place for your baby to sleep is something all parents wish for, and babies need.  We see the new ‘Projects’ platform as a great way to directly fund the needs of the community, linking small organisations, such as Dandelion, with people willing to support their work.  2015 is going to be a year of building this impact and we hope people will see the opportunity to partner with us to direct their support to these smaller projects responding to local needs.”
